Learning to Float

On August 12, 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer (ductal carcinoma and invasive ductal carcinoma that was spreading quickly). On March 28, 2022, I lost my mom to cancer. This book is a journal of poetry that started the day I was diagnosed until 1 year after my mother's passing. If you want to learn how I overcame challenges, found the patience to sit in the valley of indecision, processed grief while still living a full life, and mostly, how I chose to prioritize joy, take a peek into 3 of the most difficult years of my life.
